I believe the case protects the iPad very well. I love the cut outs, the color and the overall design. But it's a lot thicker than expected. For me, the thickness adds weight, which reduces the feel of the Mini and its lightness. With that one downside, I don't feel like it's a big enough downside to come back. I've had this case less than a week and today I noticed that the corners of my iPad are scratched. I also see that the inside of the case is worn at the corners from friction when removing the iPad. I take my tablet out from time to time depending on how I'm using it, so this doesn't work at all. It's actually rude that my new iPad now has scratches from a cheap and poorly designed case.
