Excellent folding rule

I use folding rules most often, especially Lufkin X46 because of the length. I prefer them to tape measures for shorter distances because they lay flat on the marked wood next to the tree. It's also easier to hold a ruler in one spot and mark with your other hand than a tape measure, which can fall off work and drag the entire tape with it. I should have studied the image more closely, but I assumed all the rulers were graduated in (at least) 1/16th increments. Obviously RL was trying to be historically accurate. I'd rather give up historical accuracy for modern graduation. I don't really care since most of my projects are measured to 1/4 anyway. If I
