👞 Black Rockport Classic Penny Loafer: Men's Shoes with Slip-Ons and Loafers Review

A few years ago these loafers became one of my favorite shoes for work and business trips and since I bought my first pair I have bought several replacements. However, the pair that arrived when I last ordered them were half a size larger than the ones I currently wear, despite being marked as the same size and item numbers. These were good shoes but certainly not 'classic' and certainly not 'dark brown' but more of a bad tan which made them not very elegant but somehow 'conscious and noticeable' to look convincingly casual. They were reasonably well done, but just a freaky slacker mongrel. I immediately returned them and bought Cole Hahn burgundy loafers instead which were much better and closer to what I needed.

I strongly advise you to go one size up when purchasing these shoes. In other words if you are a size 9 buy a size 10 shoe. I bought this shoe in my size but it didn't fit so I had to take out the insole to make the shoe fit, after that everything was fine . So I know I'll have to go a bigger size next time. On the other hand the style and look is classy, love how it matches outfits.

For almost ten years I have been very happy with the men's loafers from Johnston & Murphy Ainsworth Penny because they are comfortable, affordable and fit perfectly. Unfortunately the price of these shoes went up to the point where they could only be ordered on the MFG website for more than double the price I previously paid. my choice. I won't lie, it's only 90%. It's *slightly* less convenient and a little less comfortable, but the price is right. Important: I used Johnston & Murphy shoe size

I could barely put this shoe on and it says it's my size (12th width). I had a similar experience with another pair of Rockport Penny Moccasins - I find them a size and a half too small for me even though the shoe says the right size. This shoe in particular was particularly ugly. Ugly skin and mediocre workmanship. Rockports were very high quality shoes years ago. They've definitely been cutting corners lately. I will never buy one again.
