I bought this rug with another rug but I love it so much I use it alone. It's soft, not very heavy, and doesn't have any weird smells - just new skin. I reviewed these skins on various websites and this one was about half the price of the others. It's bigger than I expected, about 6ft by 8ft, but that's okay, it works in space. I love the look of my rug. It's rich and soft. No damage or deformation. When you first unpack it smells like leather, but after about a day the smell is completely gone. This rug moves moderately in our bedroom. Our 3 large dogs run and play on it (running/running/chasing at full speed) and the mat stays in place and can stand up for use by dogs and the cleaning robot. So far I've had it for a week or two and I really like it. Worth the price.
