I tried this cable on an old HDTV and it didn't pull any Roku transmitters. Must be Vizio TV. Not sure if the cables are used for anything else. Not with Roku 3 and Vizio HDTV.

The HDMI cable to one of our Roku boxes was lost during our recent move. The reviews for the new Roku boxes weren't great, so I decided to spend $10 and just use my old one. I'm glad I did. Works perfectly. Problem solved.

I don't know much about HDMI cables but I had problems with the one I was using. Found this cable while looking for a new one and decided to give it a try. I was very glad that as soon as I plugged it in and turned on the TV, the problems went away. Simple problems like image appearing and disappearing, bad image, etc. are all solved. I definitely recommend trying this cable.
