Wooden Airship Puzzle for Adults - Rolife Review

This was the first small 3D wooden puzzle of its kind that I tried. I probably wouldn't try any other. The pieces are tiny and break too easily. There are some parts that are superfluous, but not all. I was almost done and broke off a tiny piece and now it's unusable. Any time I try to slowly compress a part there is a 50/50 chance it will just fail and break.

Very fragile set. They supply duplicates of certain parts, but not the ones most prone to breakage. The instructions were perfectly adequate, but laser cutting the parts caused some of the parts to delaminate, making them too brittle or not fitting snugly in their slots. I have bought a few more kits from this company and am now worried they will be the same.

This little steampunk airship gets rave reviews. I'm not difficult to build BUT the wood is thin and you have to be careful when bending it. This helped sand down the ends gently to make the construction less stressful. I broke two posts with too much force but fixed them with PVA glue. I like it so much I can make a few more and hang the fleet from the ceiling.

I bought this control panel for my daughter and she loved putting it together. We did about 7 or 8 of these and I would say this one was right in the middle in terms of difficulty. It definitely wasn't the hardest, but there were a few steps that required some dexterity. Overall I like these laser cut models because the parts fit very well and the tolerances are exact. The instructions were very clear and well presented.

It was a lot of fun to collect. Took me about 4 hours. It has a few nice touches: it comes with a small piece of sandpaper to remove burrs and make attaching parts easier. It also has additional parts from some parts. This comes in handy if you break one of these. I would suggest having an emery board or some sharpening rods. Some parts don't want to connect without a lot of pressure, so sanding the connection points helps a lot. And if you sand them down, you can still glue them on if they're…

Pretty to look at, but a disaster to put together. The A-reed fitted well, only one rib broke and he had one left: hooray! Then I had to sheathe the middle/back of the balloon frame. MOST of the circles didn't fit top or bottom, other joints often broke, breaking the circles where they fitted well.
