Better than Purdy on Consumables and Paint Tools

Best Adjustable Paint Roller Frame in the Galaxy. Light and well made. This is how I would design an adjustable roller frame. Much better than Purdy, much better than Worcester. Very easy to set up and won't hang around by itself.

Pros
  • Outstanding Overall Performance
Cons
  • Quick Start Guide

Lightweight, best when inking

Adjustment knobs are easy to use and seem pretty solid although I haven't used them much. It is suitable for a normal color stick and is light in weight. Good that end caps are included, but it sucks to have another option - this one seems to be able to use end caps only and is the most comparable in price.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Roller bushing slips out when careless, which is a design flaw

Bushing popped out in the middle of the ceiling painting. The pins are too small and the frame is too soft and pliable so a little pressure at a slight angle will of course cause the boom bushing to pop out, snap and cause a mess. Curved edges are also a step in the right direction, but they're sharp and can damage walls.

Pros
  • Robust design
Cons
  • Base required

Good product but delivered without a plug.

Good product, but delivered without a plug. It seems easy to use. My guess is that it was a return that was resold. The frame itself is lightweight and keeps the reel cover in place. (I have 12" caps with plugs, but these plugs will not fit the US size 1.5" core I recently bought from Revain, 14" caps). Convenient to use. I hope this continues.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Almost everything ok

But very good and strong.

I love this frame, it's strong and easy to adjust. I used it non-stop for several hours and there were no problems. The only reason I'm taking a star off this frame is because the little rubber stopper you can see in the picture came loose on the very first use, which sucks because it keeps the roller from touching the edge and makes a mess. Luckily I found it and super glued it, let's see how it holds up.

Pros
  • Ease of use
Cons
  • Compatibility

MALFUNCTION! Fell apart a few times on first use!

Extremely dissatisfied. I was on the stairs painting the cathedral ceilings and the roller went flying out of my head. I fell almost 10 feet face down and the bar and pulley went flying across the room! Upon inspection, a nut or bolt holding the left side in place had snapped off. This event occurred even 20 minutes after the first use. I had to go to a hardware store and buy a screw that didn't break. It happened again! Something must have gone wrong, but my husband is my "MacGyverโ€ and MADEโ€ฆ

Pros
  • High-quality workmanship
Cons
  • Definitely bad product
