Description of Roscoes Pet Products Auger Stake

Dome style top allows for 360 degree roaming without the risk of getting tangled. 24" steel dog stake offers superior strength. Goes into the ground deep to hold it in place. Painted to prevent rust. Lightweight so it is easy to move from place to place. Convenient to bring along on camping trips, days at the park, or anywhere you need to have your dog tethered. Easy to install and simple to use. Simply choose the best location for your stake, pound straight down into the ground using a hammer or rubber mallet just until the bottom of the auger blade comes in contact with the ground, screw the stake in the rest of the way, and attach your cable to the steel ring at the top (cable not included).

"Secure Your Dog Without a Problem

Based on my experience this auger stake is a game-changer for dog owners. It provides a strong and secure anchor point to KEEP your pup safe and in place. The material is rust-resistant and durable, making it a reliable option for outdoor use... However, the auger stake can be a bit challenging to screw in rocky soil. Overall, this product is an excellent solution for training and behavior aids for dogs..

Pros
  • Easy to use and install
Cons
  • May require a lot of force to screw into hard ground

15 minutes Husky bends it 125 degrees!

In a word, disappointed! I found him very strong. My Husky weighs only 52 pounds and the first day I strapped him to it, he flexed it 125 degrees in less than 15 minutes. Mine had a decent hole in the backyard where I had to pull it out. I was able to fix it, but I think it will break the next time he pulls on it. Will return it and look for a better product.

Pros
  • Easy to install and easy to use. Simply select the best spot for the peg, drive directly into the ground with a hammer or rubber mallet until the underside of the drill blade touches the ground, fully screw in the peg and attach the cable. to the steel ring above (cable not included).
Cons
  • So-so
