Very sturdy, well made bottle opener. Has weight and feels good in the hand. It also hardly ever crushes bottle caps, so this is a very useful trait if you're collecting them.

I know it seems silly but it wasn't until it was gone that I realized how much easier it is to use compared to others. I've had 4-5 since I lost this one and gave up and just ordered another one. I look forward to his return. Having lived without him for several years, it is only natural that the old one shows up now.

This is a great item if you are a beer only or frequent drinker. Nice brushed steel finish, good weight in hand and no sharp objects to cut yourself on (especially when kids are around). The finish lasts forever and still looks new years later. If you also tend to drink a lot of wine, you can buy a dual-use bottle opener. For one purpose, however, this knife is ideal.

Ok it's not made in Germany but it works great, it's a work of art (for which we thank our German friends) and worth the money. For me, enjoying a good beer or wine bottle involves opening it, i.e. forgetting screw caps. The caps are so easy to remove that you have complete control over the process without the bottle tipping over. I haven't found a better tool to remove a beer bottle cap.

Other than the minor detail (below), the bottle opener appears to be well made. It's durable, feels good in the hand, and has a sleek, practical feel. It has no sharp edges and I expect it to last and work well. As many other reviewers have pointed out, this bottle opener is **Made in China**, although the description clearly states "Made in Germany".
