lots of space and compactness. Very painful for the back, if you use it for a long hike, you need a pillow to cover the rust. The seat is tiny and if you overload it, it looks like it will tip over when you sit on it. It would be better if it had telescopic legs so that you don't have to squat so far to sit down when your legs get high from hiking. Super strong and very durable material. I will be using this for fishing trips and what not now, not for long hikes and camping. still a great bag!

I've used this backpack and stool combo 5 times out of 6 and the seams are already unraveling. My old backpack and stool separately lasted 15 years! I've seen other reviews saying this backpack/stool is cheap but thought I'd give it a try anyway because I couldn't find anything even more expensive and better looking. I wish someone could make a better quality backpack and chair combo that doesn't fall apart at the seams. Maybe that's enough for small children.

To be clear I'm 6'4" tall and weigh 300 pounds so when I say it's great for holding my weight and holding up comfortable in it, you know where I'm from. This isn't a luxury executive chair with a recliner and swivel. But it's comfortable and made of durable canvas. Many years ago I had almost the same design that served me faithfully for many years before I died I hope the same can be said about this one, if my mind changes I'll update this review otherwise it's a great product.
