Other helmet bags are much higher quality. I would not buy this item but would look for another, more dense and of better quality.

My helmet barely fits in. The bag looks like it's about to explode from the pressure. There is no room for anything else. I bought this to replace my (lost) military bag. This is a bad substitute. In addition, the bag feels "cheap". I can't say for sure, but it's just not very well done. You get what you pay for!

I use it to wear a standard size Gentex helmet. It still squeezes a little tight, although the opening is zippered, but there's room inside. I also keep my gloves and stethoscope in the side pockets. It seems to be holding up well, the zipper isn't very smooth and it seems to be able to close over time. I've been using it for about a year with no problems.

The material is a joke, it's poorly insulated, the strap and stitching break when I put a paper book in it, let alone a helmet! And the zipper is not covered, has huge teeth and doesn't close all the way. If you're wondering why it's cheap, it's because it's junk. Spend your money on the best helmet bag. I have real army that are 45 years old and in better shape than this junk.

I fly with the military and use this camera bag when in very cramped cockpits. I prefer the black bags over the standard green ones because I don't get as much reflection from the dome. I really like the shoulder strap as I sometimes carry heavy gear for long periods of time. I always put it in my locker so as not to damage the cabin. Unfortunately, even after waxing, the zipper still snaps and the fabric tabs that hold the straps are sewn onto the zipper, so that becomes an issue as well.
