Excellent price didn't have all the connections for the lines going to the warehouse. The attachment had to be persuaded to attach. Overall very satisfied and works great on my 93 XJ.

Bought for my 1999 Jeep Cherokee 4.0 Straight Six. It took a bit of fiddling to get it to fit properly, but nothing I couldn't easily tighten. So far it looks and works great. Love it.

Box was in good condition when delivered. All parts fit according to the instructions. Not sure about the increase in fuel consumption, but my 236,000 mile 2000 Jeep Cherokee runs smoother now. I was impressed with the difference it made. I would recommend this for any automotive project.

Installed on my 97 inch. Obviously a noticeable noise at the intake and a small increase in power from the mains. Don't expect insane performance gains. It's not charged. I can say I've had a 2-3 mpg increase and a smoother idle as well as about 5 degrees cooler operating temps. Recommended for every 4.0L

Pretty easy with good instructions. The instructions are images that are difficult to see and some screw sizes are incorrect. The end product looks good. A mounting tab (circled in orange) needs to be bent to fit properly. Straighten the tab and bend the piece at a 90 degree angle so it is flat with the pad next to it. Hose clamps are not optimal for the hose as they reach the end of the lag bolt before they are tightened. Buy alternative clamps.

Sheet metal not fitted correctly, I figured it out. If I could wait I would send it back. The large clip securing the filter is of very poor quality and broke off with a light strain when tightened. This could have been a great product at a good price if Rough Country had redesigned the sheet metal to match intended mounting locations and provided a higher quality filter clip. Bottom line - be prepared to play around a bit to make it work and go to an auto parts store to get a quality clamp.

Pretty basic set. Not much to spoil. Or is there? The unit I received has the secondary hose attachment point welded on on the opposite side. This can be seen in the instruction photos and will also result in the hose being attached on the wrong side, requiring you to do an extension under the air tube.
