The Perfect Iron for Home and Kitchen

This iron is a game-changer for my home and kitchen. As my tests showed, it heats up quickly and the stainless steel soleplate glides smoothly over any fabric. The auto shut-off feature gives me peace of mind knowing it won't accidentally be left on. The only downside is the slightly heavier weight, but the benefits outweigh this small con. I highly recommend this iron to anyone in need of a reliable and efficient one.

Pros
  • Powerful 1700 watt motor ensures efficient ironing; stainless soleplate glides smoothly over fabrics for crisp results; automatic shut off safety feature provides peace of mind
Cons
  • Users should be cautious not to accidentally touch the hot soleplate and risk burning themselves

Rowenta vs. Black and Decker IR3010

This review compares the advanced BLACK+DECKER IMPACT Steam Iron IR3010 to the Rowenta DW5080 Focus 1700W Stainless Steel Micro Steam Iron with Auto Shut-Off, 400 Holes, Brown. Basically both are good irons and I think you would be happy with either. Rowenta currently costs about $20 more than Black and Decker, but it also has a few things that make it a little bit better. The size and shape of the actual iron surface is about the same for everyone. The B&D has a slightly more pronounced nose…

UPDATED: December 26, 2018 Totally forgot to do this update after my March update. However, based on the result (please read the reviews below for the story), I can up the stars from 3 to 5. Rowenta serviced the iron and replaced the entire tank. I got it back within a week! Not 2-3 weeks like I said. It's been 9 months and I have absolutely NO problems with this hardware. I suspect the iron originally sent to me was damaged in some way before I received it. The repair made fixed all leaking…
