Cannot confirm taste but otherwise 5+

We have been using Royal Canin for our show collies for over 12 years. Anything else kills their stomachs. They prefer it to any new food, mainly because they are used to it. But since he has everything a strong field dog needs, we decided on it. The quality is excellent. I don't have to worry about the ingredients, although I'm sure there are other brands out there that claim a better blend for the price. But for us that's all. Pay attention to the ingredients "brain food" and "fur food" - Iโ€ฆ

Best dog food in Dry

This is the best dog food that I can buy for my pet. We tried listening to blogs and foodies that claimed other brands had been rated better because they didn't contain grain, corn, or fillers, but each one made my pup miserable. He does a great job with it and his coat is shiny. Anyway, I had to send back two large bags because they keep getting unsealed. It's bad for Revains, but I don't do dog food. Groceries come in sealed bags in stores but I subscribe and save and three times the bag wasโ€ฆ

Rottweiler Substitute

Royal Canine has discontinued their special Rottweiler formula so we have switched to their large breed product. discontinued brands of specific breeds. The larger croquettes fit my Rotti perfectly - they really fit his big mouth so he could nibble on them. Unfortunately for large breeds this formula is a smaller kibble (although it could be worse - it's still larger compared to other brands) and he coughed/gagged a bit when we switched over because he couldn't chew smaller kibble as easily. Best food for all my puppies (I have many)

I've tried so many dog foods; victor, purina, blue buffalo, nutrish, science of the hill, trip to america, good and i'm sure there are a few more. Royal Canin won by landslide victory. It was the only food all my dogs ate and met my nutritional needs. I love that they have individual selections based on race. When my vet asked what I was feeding my dogs right now, I told him and he and the nurse said it was the only food they were feeding their dogs. Of course, all dogs are different, but moreโ€ฆ

Not worth the money not suitable for dogs

So my vet told me to get this brand for my dogs and they used it for about a year. They've been eating it all day and I was like, hey, they're eating it, so that's great. But my dogs have diarrhea all the time. And the amount of water drunk was unusually large. I decided to get into animal nutrition and you know what? Royal Canin contains two of the three most common dog allergens: wheat and corn. These are bulking components used to bulk up dog food and are not naturally digested by dogs andโ€ฆ

A month ago I would have enthusiastically said that this product is excellent, my dog has been eating it for a little over a year without any problems. Last month we received our usual Sign and Save (S&S) package, except this time the dog food bag wasn't vacuum sealed. We didn't give it much thought at the time as there was no sign of the food being tampered with and it wasn't until our dog refused to eat the food that we began to suspect something was wrong. Our dog became ill after eating the
