We have gradually switched from wet food to this food and she loves it! I haven't experienced any side effects like itchy or biting feet that I read about in another review. We'll leave them at that for now. By the way, her poop is hard from this food, which makes me happy when she has accidents in her.

If you want a healthy pup look no further. My girls really like them, they eat a bag every week and a half. They are 4 months old. Once a day I mix them in a wet can of Royal Canin and they go nuts. Shiny coat, high energy and pearly white teeth. I would like Royal Canin to market them in larger packs.

The best dry food on the market for Doxie puppies. Our 5 month old cream long haired puppy can't get enough of Royal Canin Dry Dachshund puppy food. There's also a red short-haired dachshund that loves the adult mix. He has been eating Royal Canin for over 6 years and is in great shape. Absolute recommendation for all Doxy owners!

My puppy loves it! I tried feeding him Candifae Pure Salmon and Oatmeal but he wouldn't touch them. It was shaped like a ball and I could tell he was having a hard time picking it up. Knowing he's a dachshund mix, I was given this substance and he's inhaling it. The shape and small size are perfect for his mouth. This food almost killed my fur baby he ate maybe 4 pills total and I got black diarrhea in the hallway and then threw up, I'm blessed that he did didn't. Do not eat more because it contains sodium tripolyphosphate, used to clean consumables and antifreeze, it is poison. My wife and I bought many other brands of food for our first dog. On the recommendation of the breeder and veterinarian, we don't buy anything else except Royal Canin, especially since they make food for our breed.
