Received this set today. Delivery was quick. As the others mentioned in the reviews, all of the brushes have an odd smell. The brushes appear to be of good quality, but I found that four of the twelve brushes in this set were oddly shaped and fell out. I can say that this set is worth the money. If you're looking for a decent brush set for beginners, get this one, but don't expect high quality.

I had a Sigma essentials kit and it didn't suit me at all, especially for $140. These brushes are quite comparable. However, I throw away the powder and contour brush because they smell so strongly of formaldehyde and shed like crazy. Also, I washed them once and they both lost their shape. I love these brushes! They are so thick and soft! They apply my makeup flawlessly! I'm a total cosmetics addict, but I refuse to overpay. The quality of the brushes is really amazing considering the price. All brushes are able to pick up and apply products, as well as high quality brushes. The only issue I had with these brushes was that some hairs (especially from the larger brushes) fell out slightly when I was applying the product to my face. I'm glad I bought the set but I'm very disappointed with the all white synthetic brushes and the big black powder brush because they shed a lot and have a strong smell. I bought 2 sets and one of the brushes in the set was a contour brush. One set was decent and the other looked unrecognizable. It didn't have that slant, it was like a powder brush. The eye shadow brushes were also too dense. I can say that the fallout wasn't bad for the first use. Get what you paid for.
