It's a filter, it filters

Case thickness seems thicker than some other filters on the market. Use with Royal Purple Oil. Hope this helps clean the inside of my Cummins.

The ad here says there is drain protection BUT

Looking at Royal Purple's main website with that exact part number it says the drain protection is: NO. I posted a screenshot of the main page. This is my second purchase and I am going back.

Very heavy - looks well made

Very heavy construction, can't say it beats any other filter but judging by the weight it should have more filter material inside. I still change the oil every 10,000 miles but if it keeps the engine clean it would be an improvement.

2017 RAM 3500 HO Replacement Parts

Bought to match my Valvoline Premium Blue Synthetic 5W40 on my 6.7 CUMMINS HO (all emissions in tact at the moment). Screwed on well and the "O-ring" seems to seal well. I haven't noticed any oil residue or leaks around the gasket or filter housing after about 1000 miles. Update: 6,500,000 miles on this oil change in all different conditions and the filter seems perfectly clean. No oil residue or leaks on the canister wall. Very happy.
