I started buying whole pineapples and also cherries. My son put a slice of pineapple in his mouth and then a cherry. He glowed! "Mom! You have to try this!" It was so good it became a snack for us. So I had to peel my cherries. This pattern makes it possible. Each cherry was pitted without incident. I love this shop! The next bee will be a multiple pitter looking for the same company.

Every cherry stone has its disadvantages for some people. I wanted one that didn't use my fingers to pop the pit. This tool copes very well with open palm pressure. I've discovered two little tricks: Stick the end of the cherry stem into the pit and, after the first hit, pump the plunger up and down a few more times. When I finished I had very few holes and they were hanging by a thread. Not a single one remained in the cherry. To me, that's a great little cherry pit!

The only thing I don't like about this product is that sometimes the piston doesn't go into the bore. This wouldn't be such a problem if the receiver wasn't opaque. If this piece were transparent, it would be easy to see if the pits were pushed out of the fruit into the jar.
