Very happy with this case for my son's MacBook Air. We rent it from our school. Came with a cracked case falling apart. For this very good price, the purchase to protect the laptop was worth it. It's basically a piece of plastic that snaps onto the top and bottom of your Macbook Air. The color I received was slate blue which I thought was grey-blue. It is, but not as beautiful as in the picture. The lid leaves traces of grease from the natural oils in my hands on the lid which always makes it look permanently old or dirty to me. Bought for my son's school MacBook. He really likes his looks, but the bottom part of the suitcase falls off quite often. Since it doesn't hold up well, it removes it entirely, making it completely pointless to deal with. Item is as described and would probably work just fine if the MacBook wasn't being used by a troubled 12 year old. This case isn't bad for its price. In addition, there are only a few cases for 11 inches. I like the keyboard cover, it fits well and doesn't shift when I'm typing. Even if a few things bother me a bit. When something becomes material. It looks like cheap plastic that doesn't seem to be very durable. BUT, it seems like it's nice and easy to clean. So far so good. The lid is relatively easy to attach. Be sure to start it from the correct side of the top cover so it latches properly. I didn't pay attention to it and struggled to pry it off from one side so the little tabs would fully engage. Press firmly but gently to secure. The underside of the lid clicked into place with little effort. The keyboard cover lay perfectly and didn't slip. The blue was wonderful. I will update the review if there are any issues with this case.

The case was very solid and corresponded well to the product description. Attempting to install the case was excruciating and left a few sore fingers, but proved how strong the case was. The only problem is that the bottom half of the case limits how wide you can open your MacBook. This is quite a problem as in lecture halls without tables I need full freedom of movement for my laptop to see the current lecture and take notes at the same time.
