This mechanical scale is not worth the industrial and scientific label .The needle is constantly bouncing around making it almost impossible to get an accurate reading. The pros are it's lightweight and easy to store, but that doesn't make up for its terrible performance. Students need reliable equipment in order to conduct experiments accurately, and unfortunately this scale does not meet those standards..

After trying this product, I`m thankful for how easy it is to use and how accurate its measurements are. With a capacity of 200 pounds it covers various applications and is adaptable to any environment. However, the scale could benefit from a more robust build, as its thin plastic cover is susceptible to wear and tear. Overall, for its price, it's an excellent addition to any lab or classroom setting. .

Had the same problems as all the scales, I would advise you to buy a cheap one and just throw it away and buy another cheap one. It's not worth the extra money thinking that washing will extend the lifespan. I really like the big numbers on the dial and the scale works well, I just can't pay that much when cheaper scales last that long.
