Compact, light and detachable.

I mounted this over the trunk of my 2009 Jeep Wrangler. One of these is enough to fill the trunk area with enough light to make everything visible in the dark. If you find there is not enough light in the cabin, this will solve your problem. This light also detaches from the bracket so you can use it in and around the jeep when it's dark.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Faulty

Great lighting for JK.

Perfect for what I need. I have an 08 JK and if you have a JK you know the interior lights are not that bright at night. I wanted more light in the driver's area when I needed to look at documents etc. I installed it on the roll bar just above the driver's door. It's very bright and works as it should. Deducted 1 star because the flashlight itself can easily be knocked off the packaging if accidentally hit. It's basically both a slide and hook mechanism.

Pros
  • Handy
Cons
  • Mediocre

I like it because I can tilt it in the cockpit.

I installed this in my Polaris Ranger instead of running the wires overhead for the AUX lights. I like it because I can tilt it in the cockpit if needed or slide it back quickly to see in bed. I've used it duck hunting in northern Arkansas in freezing temperatures and at home here in Louisiana on some of the hottest days imaginable and it still works great. I put a set of batteries in when it arrived and they are still good. I've soaked this light a few times while cleaning and it won't leak.

Pros
  • It's great
Cons
  • There are some nuances

Nice and bright but not too harsh. Easy to install, no wiring.

Nice and bright but not too harsh. The straps barely fit around the roll bar padding on my wife's 2005 TJ. There were no problems with the battery compartment, everything is convenient and convenient. So far the battery life seems good. If we forget it and leave it on, at least the Jeep's battery won't drain and I won't have to fiddle with the switch and wires to the safety bar. I'm a bit concerned about the durability of the tiny locking tabs that the light slides/clamps on. Time will tell if…

Looks good. battery installation solution.

I have just received this lantern. It seems well built and bright enough to be used as a jeep light. The only problem others seem to have is that the batteries are very difficult to install. The problem is that the battery compartment has markings that say "open" and tabs that usually mean you "open here by pushing and sliding in this direction". I've been trying to open this door this way for at least 15 minutes but the door won't open. Then I pushed the door in the middle and moved it in the…

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Incredible piggy bank
