🔴 Red Universal Winch Cable Stopper by Rugged Ridge 15102.05 Review

Looks good, easy to assemble but would never use it on a winch of any gauge. My winch doesn't stop right away so she almost pulled the hook through like it wasn't there so she threw it away because it went right through. Doesn't do the job at all for a full size. Useful maybe for a winch on an ATV. may be.

It's not strong enough. The material is hollow and the screws are too long, if it were one piece it would be much stronger but two pieces screwed together just won't cut it. On an ATV winch this might work a little better, on a full size winch you'll get a factor 55 or something similar that will hold without splitting.

Works perfectly - this is my second order - as the kids overtightened the winch and it broke. It was easy to tell by the red color that it was broken. The design is such that you don't have to uncoil and coil the entire cable line - so it's not surprising that it will bend and break if you coil it too tightly. We are happy with that.
