Great Look - Antenna Pads

Love the color and the look, installation is easy but when installing with just the materials provided the cover is solid but not the base of the antenna behind to make up for this problem To fix this, I've used rubber washers from screws used to attach metal panels to buildings, put new screws in the new base and then added washers before attaching to the jeep, then the antenna mount is as strong as the factory mount.

Pros
  • Slim Design
Cons
  • Long Delivery Time

Quick Installation in External Accessories

If you know how to remove the antenna base, this is a very easy installation. A thin flathead screwdriver can be pushed aside and the old one pops out instantly. The only thing I didn't like was the big hole to connect the antenna. I have a fairly thin antenna and you can see a large area that isn't colored red like the base and antenna because it was originally under another base. Otherwise it was great.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Ugly Packaging

Cover is not as shown.

Anyone who says this isn't a built-in Brainerd is lying. Quality assurance in production is complete crap. The hole where the knurled threaded antenna bolt passes through the fender antenna cover from the mat edge is too small. I had to use a file to make a groove for the locking screw to allow the cap to come out of the hole in the back. Hexagon head screws are too long! The cup of the lid is too short and the stopper is pushing against the end. Finally, the back cover does not rest againstโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging
