Critical shortcoming. The holes in the wheel arch after the original airbox is removed leave a path for water to seep through the filter. Light rain = wet filter. returned

Good product. Note that it has room for a mass airflow sensor, which most TJs don't have. Otherwise, a few bolts and nuts were missing that I had to replace. Otherwise a good standard product.

The instructions do not accurately describe the configuration of my 2000 TJ. However, with a little thought and common sense, the installation turned out to be pretty easy. Pleased with the increase in power in first and third gear. Sounds great and gave my Wrangler enough extra power to get up and walk. Plus a few extra mpg is nice too.

I am very happy with the Cold Air Intake system for my Jeep. Required only basic tools for installation, it improved my fuel economy by about 3mpg. The performance of my 4L has also improved. I would recommend it and other Rugged Ridge products to my friends.

Very happy with the quality of the sturdy back. This is my first time buying a durable comb and I work at a local mechanic/performance shop. Normally we only deal with rough terrain. The quality for the price is phenomenal. The welds were very good and all hardware was packaged separately for easy installation. **THIS CAI WILL NOT FIT A 1997 2.5L VEHICLE** Garage Revain says it will fit, but I did a lot of tooling and rewiring to make it fit. I replaced it with AEM 21-8301; The only CAI that claims to have been made for the 1997-2001 2.5-liter Wrangler, and the Rugged Ridge works in every way. If you have a newer Wrangler, it's a bog. Impressively! A noticeable increase in performance, but wow, how loud. I have a great system and the noise almost drowns out my music.

bought this for my husband TJ. I've been looking for a long time and saw this one at an incredible price. Having had experience with durable Backbone products, I bought them without hesitation. my husband installed it and immediately noticed the increase in performance. There's a slight whistle, but the increase in power and fuel economy we've seen is worth any noise. were very happy with it. Would recommend this to other TJ owners!

Installed 2006 TJ. The bolt holes in the throttle body gaskets were out of place. I had to enlarge the holes to make them work. I had to bend the corner of the heat reflector to keep it from rubbing against the internal grille and allowing the filter to slide down the tube without cutting the plastic inside the filter. The top of the heat shield is held in place by a cable tie. It was necessary to make a bracket to attach to the radiator support rod. If I had known all this, I would have bought
