Perfect fit for our Bobcat 843

Bought this kit for our old Bobcat 843 as the fuel gauge stopped working years ago. The more than 30-year-old transmitter is almost completely rusted. After trimming the new gauge to the depth of the tank, we have a working fuel gauge again. Installation was very easy and hopefully the transmitter will last a while. The pressure gauge is also very good for the money and works great. I'm very happy with the whole set and would definitely recommend it for the price. I'll update later if something

Shipping Disassembled unit

Bought to replace a faulty unit on my boat. Installation took about an hour due to transmitter setup, but I'm glad it worked well for the first summer. Earlier this summer the pressure gauge stopped working and I finally had time to check what was wrong. Took the transmitter unit out of the tank and found most of it was at the bottom of the tank. It looks like the plastic around it has melted. I'm not sure what happened but it looks like it happened to a few people who bought this. I will…

Worked for me - Electrical

I had to widen the holes on the sensor to fit my tank. I installed it on a saddle tank on a 1972 truck. Installation is not too difficult. Proper wiring has been a problem for me, but that's my problem, not the sensor's. I remember seeing some reviews saying they get FULL readings all the time. It's a wiring issue I think. The wiring diagram in the ad is wrong. The correct one is the one that comes with the kit. For the price, this works great for me, but I'm not looking for gallon-to-gallon…

Maybe good for a stationary generator or boat you have.

Mech, mine got stuck after install and wouldn't update the needle until you hit a bump in the road to free the transmitter. That was after a fresh install. I'm sure this thing would freeze quickly at any sign of aging or rusting. I think this is because by design I had to drastically shorten the length of the float arm to fit my model car's tank. The float arm is long so it has enough power to move.

Perfect fit and exact fit

We are finishing the restoration of a 1959 Volkswagen Beetle and our client requested a fuel gauge. Since the 1959 Beetle was not equipped with a pressure gauge, we had to retrofit the transmitter unit and pressure gauge on a remanufactured fuel tank. This transmitter unit/level indicator/gauge was a perfect match and the gauge was 'simple' enough to match exactly with the gauges already installed in the vehicle that the customer was more than satisfied. For us as a car repair shop the device…

I like it ! on spares

A small gas gauge kit that fits most cylinders. In fact, I don't know of any tank it wouldn't fit in! It's 12 volts, by the way, because the papers that came with it said it could be 12 OR 24 volts. The instructions include a sizing chart to ensure the unit works in tanks from 4" or 5" to over 25" deep. Do not trim the float shaft too short as the chart will only give you an idea, but with a little Fine tuning you can get it to work perfectly I don't know how long it will last but it looks as…

Made very cheaply: Electrical

This is the worst piece of equipment I have ever worked with. After installing the transmission block, I was in the process of attaching the transmission cable when suddenly the screw loosened and the block fell into the gas tank. After several hours of fishing the block out of the tank with a hanger, it was found that the flimsy fiber washer holding the block and driving the bolt together was not strong enough to withstand even hand tightening. Needless to say, I had to buy another transmitter
