Serious design flaw; The opening lid "clicks," but the hinge mechanism turns on two small (about 1/16") plastic pins that break easily with less force than is required to open the lid. When I snapped the lid off a second time , the pin broke off. Beautiful appearance, good idea, bad design decision.

I ordered this to replace another case I bought and the hinges broke during installation. This one did the same but I can still use it. I took my pup on an 1100 mile journey and the shelter was still there at every stop along the way. If you need a new cable cover, this is a good choice, but be careful when installing it.

I have never rated a product that I have previously purchased from Revain but felt the need to do so for this product. I have opened and closed the lid of this product 4 or 5 times in the two trips I have taken and the small pins on the hinge have broken as other users have noticed. I bought another locally and the difference in quality was obvious. This part is garbage.

Completely unusable. We installed it and set off on the journey. Installed correctly, the wire is properly routed before leaving, the lid is properly closed. Before we reached the first gas station, the lid flew off. His noose was pathetically small and weak. You can kind of see it in the pictures. Just a couple of very flimsy plastic pins. The only reason we got this was because our previous one was slightly larger than usual and we wanted to plug an existing hole.
