I wanted to get this brushless drill to replace a much older "blue" Ryobi drill that died. I didn't need batteries or other things that come with the kits, I just wanted a drill so I was happy to find a seller who does. The drill itself is great. Much more power and torque than the old one I had, and it's also smaller and lighter, which is great when working between joists or other small spaces that a large drill simply wouldn't fit. Now I'm pretty sure the sellers share these "drill only" kits

Very good drill. The first one I got had serious cartridge movement issues. The exchange went well, but the clutch got used to it a bit. Since it works, I keep it to myself. Some reviews say the light doesn't come on until you start drilling, but actually a slight pull of the trigger turns the light on before the drill has started. So do not worry.
