I wanted to get this brushless drill to replace a much older "blue" Ryobi drill that died. I didn't need batteries or other things that come with the kits, I just wanted a drill so I was happy to find a seller who does. The drill itself is great. Much more power and torque than the old one I had, and it's also smaller and lighter, which is great when working between joists or other small spaces that a large drill simply wouldn't fit. Now I'm pretty sure the sellers share these "drill only" kits or something, so I was glad it came with a manual, a Philips attachment and a belt clip. It turns out to be a belt clip. I do not know what. Maybe another Ryobi drill, but it's not for that. Spring. I don't always like to attach a belt clip because you can't stand the drill upright without the battery, and I can usually place the battery on the paint tray of my stepladder. But there are times when this belt clip can come in handy. Well, if I really want it, you can get it from various parts suppliers. related parts from seller as I'm pretty sure Ryobi only offers them in kits that you can buy exclusively as Home Depot.
