Decent bubble counter

This device works properly. I coated the threads with pipe sealant and filled them with walnut oil. No leaks. I also installed a second check valve a few feet away after reading the reviews. Although the unit doesn't have a hanger, I used clear tape to secure it high up on the side of the tank.

Pros
  • Pleasing
Cons
  • Mostly good, but...

Just what I needed

This is a great bubble counter. Works well, no backflow, strong, connects easily and securely, and easy to see bubbles. The only issue some people might have is editing. It has no mounting option. It's not a problem for me, but someone will need it. I'm glad I tried.

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • Damaged

Leaks, Leaks and Leaks!

Started leaking after 2 months of use. I have to add water to this thing every 1-2 days, I've tried white and yellow teflon tape but this valve still lets both water and CO2 through. "Check valve" is a fake. I installed a check valve in front of this bubble counter and this check valve is filled with return water. I do not recommend this.

Pros
  • Dope ๐Ÿ”ฅ
Cons
  • Not the best

Leaks but fixable

No matter what I do, water seeps through the floor once the chamber is pressurized enough to run the diffuser. I tried caulking it with Permatex thread sealant and that seemed to work, but apparently it didn't work well with the acrylic and it broke off. So I bought another one and this time I used JB Weld. Went like clockwork. Even if you buy two, the price isn't bad.

Pros
  • Heavy Duty
Cons
  • High Price

Missing o-rings on aquarium pumps and filters

Just received this part and the o-rings mentioned in the instructions are missing. Ooooh, I have a feeling there will be a CO2 leak until I put the o-rings in there. Anyone know what size they are? Until I have all the parts and everything works, this is a 1 star product. Update: Took it to the hardware store and found some matching o-rings. Quite easy. I've had this bubble counter installed for a few days now and it's working great!

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • unreliable

Don't waste your money.

Nonsense. Don't waste your money. Used in the nano tank. Worked more than a day, stopped working. I set it up with a 20 ounce paintball CO2 cartridge that runs at 40psi. No CO2 got past the bubble counter, which contained mineral oil. I checked my regulator, diffuser and check valve. Everything else worked. There was pressure from the check valve to the bubble counter, but there was no pressure from the bubble counter to my diffuser.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • There are problems

Horror, CO2 leaks

Do not buy. Even with teflon tape around the threads, CO2 was still leaking out of the top cap. Some CO2 came through the line but not enough to keep my built in CO2 diffuser going. Insufficient pressure due to a leak. Everything was fine, outlet pressure, BPS etc. I disconnected the bubble counter and plugged the CO2 hose straight into the regulator and a fine mist appeared in my tank immediately. Pretty expensive for something that doesn't work. I hope nobody has the same problem as meโ€ฆ

Pros
  • nice thing
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something
