Robust aluminum housing, high-quality, proprietary Solid State Drive.

High quality compact portable SSD case named after the chips. The device comes with a very nice silicone protective cover for the aluminum housing. It also includes a transfer/data cable as well as a power adapter and cables, making the device very easy to carry and use. You need to provide your own SSD chip as it is not included.

Great case but

This is a good case, very solid case with rubberized finish. Excellent quality and well finished. Holds two SSD drives and is designed for plenty of space. The speeds are very good. I have not noticed any dripping at all while using this case. The only thing that worries me is the power supply, it's massive and not designed to be portable in my opinion. It had to be much smaller so that it could be easily transported. I also have a feeling that the current price could be a bit lower, the…

Not exactly portable

Let me start by saying that the Sabrent hardware is of excellent quality. There are no complaints about the tech itself. My main issue is the size. This case is quite large for its category. It's not very portable if you carry it in your laptop bag or backpack. I also think the price is on the more expensive side. If none of the above points bother you, I can still recommend this case. Thank you for taking the time to read this review. I hope the information I have provided will help you make…

Requires a massive power supply, did not accept SK Hynix SSD

or my block has a defect. It wouldn't turn on without a massive external power supply. The power supply is larger than the drive itself. This defeats the whole purpose of its portability. I needed this drive to be bus powered. To make matters worse, one of my two NVMe SSDs was not recognized. The HP brand worked fine, but SK Hynix didn't recognize slot 1 or slot 2. SK Hynix is a "Gold P31 SSD" in "PCIe NVMe Gen3 M.2" format. The drive is fine and works great in a pluggable case. EDIT: The…

good body Just the wrong power supply.

As mentioned in several reviews, Sabrent made a weird mistake regarding the charger. He's incredibly big, too powerful, and he doesn't belong here. For reference, here is a 48W charger. The top-of-the-line, blazing-fast 500GB Samsung 980 Pro (tested here) draws about 5.5W at FULL LOAD – around 7GB/s. Multiply that by two and then. why not add. tell. 100% more buffer and you still barely get past 20W. Just stupid! And do not forget that in this case you will not achieve such speeds. However…
