Might like it but not the Surface Pro 6

I bought this dock/hub to use with the new Surface Pro 6. This allows me to use a standard size wireless mouse and keyboard on the surface and monitor. Then my Surface turns into a desktop PC, and as long as I have the PC's memory and processing speed, I'm fine. All functions worked except for the monitor. With the monitor, instead of full-screen projection, I got 2.5-inch vertical bars on the left and right of the screen. There is no setting on Surface to convert an image to full screen. This…

A must for the old Surface Pro owner!

Basically, this dock works with software that allows the USB port to become a multifunctional single-point connection. The docking station thus has its own power supply, but is connected to the tablet via a USB port. . Just a USB hub, not a charging dock!

I'm not sure if I'm getting old technologically, the docking station I know will power the laptop, turn on the laptop without opening it (part 1) and video/audio/ Transmit data to monitor, speakers and other peripherals (part 2) But this device only does part 2 and not part 1 as described. The seller of the product must state this explicitly, otherwise you will see more product returns than when using your product. Also, this hub consumes a lot of computing resources.
