It sucks cheap then soft metal

I didn't believe the reviews and bought it anyway because most people can't operate the machine and it's just a clip how bad it can be lol BAD how bad I work with cars every day, I've used the right socket, even put anticement on the threads and the nuts are starting to round before you even have enough pressure to even start pinching the exhaust and mine Exhaust is just cheap aluminum theft just pinching a glass wrapper of a cherry bomb.

Pros
  • Like everything is still
Cons
  • There are cons

The part I received is 2/8 inch larger than stated

This clamp looks well made but is not the size it should be. I have a 1" flexible metal pipe that I will connect to the generator to remove the exhaust from where it is installed. This hose clamp is so big I can't use it, it just damages the flexible pipe and the pipe that comes out of the muffler underneath. I don't know why they claim it's a 1 and 1/8" clamp because it's 2/8" larger than this, see the photos I've attached.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Very expensive

A little anti-corrosion coating (if any)

I don't think they have much anti-corrosion coating, if any. Threads and nuts only have machine oil. Some surfaces have a matte gray finish, but many areas of the matte gray are worn to reveal pure metal. I would not recommend them to anyone looking for a clamp that will not rust or will rust slowly. You can find galvanized clamps for about the same price, or about twice as expensive as stainless ones. I was very disappointed in them and sent them back.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Something's wrong

Bought to avoid cutting exhaust manifolds.

Purchased to avoid cutting through exhaust manifolds to pinch band clamps. I didn't have a very tight fit so I doubted they would work. They are much more secure than other aftermarket clamps I've bought in the past and I was able to tighten them very firmly without removing them so they seal perfectly. The U channel is also perfect for the exhaust pipe with no extra play and play. For the price unbeatable.

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Approximately

Get the right size: Replacement parts

50 years ago I was trying to buy muffler clamps for 2 1/2 inch exhaust pipes. They didn't fit. You know the exhaust pipe is considered a pipe and the measurement is ID so I needed 2 3/4" clamps for 2 1/2" pipes. I now need muffler clamps for a 1 3/8 OD pipe, which is what I ordered. They sent clamps that were 1/2" TOO WIDE. When I went to the hardware store to buy just U-bolts, I got 1 3/8 U-bolts, and guess what: they had RIGHT! What do i need to do to get 1 3/8 span muffler clamps?

Pros
  • Hands-free work
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

I could have sworn when I ordered these that they are stainless steel!

They cost about three times more than non-stainless steel but that was understandable for stainless steel. Imagine my horror when I see them rusting?!?! They look like stainless steel in the photos, but they are NOT! And I'm pretty sure the description said it was stainless steel and not with the current 'rust resistant coating'! What? Oil? No, just buy the ones that cost 1/3 the price of these! To update. the third picture is 6 months old. "Anti-corrosion coating"?! I'll let you be the judge…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No instructions
