We like the overall design of this jar because it doesn't come with tiny refill pouches and allows you to get in and out of the room quickly at night. The design is fairly simple, a large lid replacing the main 13-gallon kitchen bags, which are anything but proprietary, and then a smaller lid for diapers. This is our third bucket after three children, but the fundamental design flaw is that over time (perhaps a little over a year) the small lid's springs break and fall into the abyss of human…

Great diaper pail - here's how to make it even BETTER!

This bucket is pretty good and priced right, but I made it EVEN BETTER for a few bucks more. Open the lid and remove the cup2. Remove the useless fake "Deo" coin and throw it in the trash (that's where it should be)3. Use a drill and drill evenly spaced 1/2" or 5/8" holes in the cup to make it look like a pipe. (see photo)4. Take old pantyhose (without toe holes) 5. Pour a few grains of activated charcoal into the top of your pantyhose to form a "ball" that fits and fills the drilled cups. This

The truth is I bought this diaper pail as a gift for a new cat owner who recently rescued two kittens. I planned to fill the bucket with a cat blanket, litter box, toys, treats, food, etc. as a gift. She exclaimed how much poop two cats could create and was looking for a solution to not carrying it to the bin outside many times a day to keep the smell out of her bungalow!
