Product as advertised

I have had the piece for a few months now. No discoloration after a long stay in the water. My fish like it very much. He tends to lean on it with his body. Maybe because it keeps you warm? No corners and edges. The only drawback is the waiting time for delivery from abroad.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Some faults

Worth the wait. in jewelry

It took a while to get it from China but it was worth it. I like the smooth surface. Betta's fins are sensitive to sharp/rough surfaces so this is a great home for them. I sanded it down a bit to make it as smooth as possible, but it was very easy and took very little time. You won't find anything like this in pet stores. They all appear to have cavities with jagged edges.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Some little things

Happy to find a home

It's hard to find aquarium decor that doesn't have skulls, castles or neon lights. So when I stumbled across this little gem I was completely satisfied. It cuts a fine figure in the aquarium, but over time a film of algae seems to form on it that cannot be wiped off. probably because it is made of a relatively porous material. However, I only consider it a patina and think it's a small price to pay for a stylish abode for our beta.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Protection

Lovely little house that houses a safe for betta

Bought this primarily for my amano shrimp/mystery snail but my betta rarely hung in it. Everything is very smooth, no sharp edges around the hole and on top. more than big enough for the betta to safely pass through. In addition, it is very easy to clean. I just brushed it lightly with a toothbrush and the algae came off really well. As far as I can tell it hasn't changed or affected the color of my water.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Perfect fit for my Betta

I have had trouble finding a very smooth coat, many claim it is safe for a Betta but if you feel it inside and sometimes even outside you will find many sharp or find rough spots that can damage their delicate fins. This felt a bit rough (which I expected given its nature) so we just sanded it lightly and quickly, in less than five minutes, after which it was perfectly smooth. Now I love the feel, I love the look and how big the top hole is.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons

Fish & Aquatic Pets love Fish & Aquatic Pets the most

My Betta LOVES his house. It is smooth and does NOT chafe its delicate fins. I bought this after having to return another product that was too big for it (it didn't fit in the old fish house). When I found this one online I thought he would like it since his fins are so thin. He absolutely LOVES this fancy little house. It rides through the roof like an elevator (which is so fun to watch) and then hangs or jumps out the front door. He loves this house very much. 5 stars from the fish!

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Hard to say

Made from real clay/ceramic.

Interior and surface are clean and smooth; it is neither too big nor too small, about the size of a small orange or half a coconut shell. There are only a few offshoots at the bottom edge, but they don't hurt because the base of the bowl sinks into the gravel. I like it, I can buy more. A 45 degree hole may work better; The hole at the very top lets in too much light to hide. So far I haven't noticed a single suspicious object claiming to be a house. Picture and product are correct. Pleasant…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Communication with seller

I bought triangular skins for my new faucet bowl! I've had many problems with sharp edges, peeling paint, tiny holes my fish could get stuck in, etc. when buying decorations from a pet store. They look more natural, have fairly large holes with smooth edges and are just perfect for my fish to hide in. Plus ceramic so the paint doesn't peel off! I'm pumping up the tank and just installed these parts. We'll see how they hold up, but my first impression is that they're amazing!

Pros
  • Best in niche
Cons
  • I will add later
