Type of review

I guess most one star reviews are accurate. Cons: No separate handle. The band does not support the desired length/configuration. It seems that Snap can fall off VERY (I haven't had enough time to confirm it, and I'm ridiculously wary of it, too). Not surprisingly, leather makes the bag/backpack a bit heavier. Pros: very attractive. I like that it morphs, although the strap doesn't hold it like a real pan. Overall I'm happy with it now, but I might end up hating it when the latch doesn't work…

  • Very good price

Straps won't stay in place - difficult to use.

This bag is good in theory but not very well executed. The straps don't stay in place. The clasp closes with difficulty. Although I knew it would be bigger than I wanted, I also found it a downfall. I would have liked something a few inches smaller in each dimension, but I couldn't find anything so I went for it. I would solve the sizing issue if using it as a sling was so awful. Using it as a backpack seemed to work fine, but the zip issue was still an issue, not to mention using it as a…

looks like a cute travel backpack

I've been looking A LOT for a convertible backpack for a trip to Italy this spring. This is the one I chose because of its occurrence in both states; it looks like a cute travel backpack and also makes sense considering it as a shoulder bag or tote bag. However, I will say that the inside is deceptively small. I travel fairly light, but I can barely fit a water bottle, book, snack and wallet - something else was making the bag so full it wouldn't close, which is unsafe when carrying it in a…

Not worth it: Ladies

I bought this bag because my mother bought it in brown from Macy's and I really liked it. I already tried to verify my personal purchase and they removed it so I will double check. The black wallet in the picture is not the wallet I received, my wallet has a different appearance, decorations and finishes. I liked the bag for its worn finish, but the one I received was bright and shiny, looked like hard leather, was very unattractive and didn't live up to my expectations. Don't even make me wear

Killing bugs that could be dreamy

Really good leather and great overall concept but there are a few design flaws that make it ok. First, if you shorten the straps to carry the bag over your shoulder, they don't stay in place, so even a tall woman like me is always walking around with a bag slapping her hips instead of being comfortably hip-to lie. You basically have to use it as a backpack, and I've had a better backpack. Second, I don't have much in it: a few lipsticks, my small purse, a couple of Ikea notepads, and a handful…

I didn't want to like this bag.

I've been looking for a shoulder bag that can be converted into a backpack for a very long time. I've bought others that meet some of my criteria, but not all. A bag turned into a backpack in no time, but it turned out to be too small. Another bag was too much of a hassle to turn into a backpack because the leather didn't slip through the loops easily. The first bag didn't have enough straps to carry the shoulder bag. The second bag was cavernous and weighed a ton unloaded. The Ventura bag met…

Great holiday bag - shoulder bags

I bought these a few days before my trip to New Zealand. This bag fits quite a lot of things and is not an awkward size to carry around. The leather is very soft and I've found it to wrinkle and age a little as you ride, giving it a uniquely worn look towards the end. I wanted a backpack style day trip bag so I could carry slightly bulkier items like a light jacket and a book without weighing it down on one shoulder like a crossbody bag. My main pack was a travel backpack, which of course would
