Salt Water Sandals Surfer Toddler Boys' Shoes : Sandals Review

Are these sandals made from the same leather as the classic sandals? This year we decided to switch to this style for my son and within 3 socks the 'leather' was peeling off in several places on the side. This never happened with his other sandals (which he wore daily for many years). Revain have already refunded us but I am wondering if these sandals are defective or will all be like this. I'm not sure I'll be ordering this style again.

We love this shoe. I order for my kids every summer. This model comes in a large size. For example, my little boy wears a size 8 in other shoes, but in Salt Waters Surfers he wears a size 7. Salt water with thick soles is the complete opposite. If I were to order a pair of thick soles for it I would order a 9. Salt water is very hard when you first get it.
