Terrible range of these things. I won't even walk to the end of my street which is only 1/4 mile from my front door. I even added an extended antenna to them to increase the range. Still get barely 3 blocks range from them. Easy-to-use radios, but they just don't have the range. Maybe it needs to be reprogrammed or something. Just not at all what I expected. Improve the range of my cheap hunting radios. Overall just disappointed

I bought these for my shop and initially bought six packs, upon receipt they appeared to be quality units and after two weeks of use in a construction environment they were working well. Sound quality is good, range depends on terrain and weather, but so far it's gotten 3 miles before we started suffering from signal loss. I've since bought another set of 6 and they all work great together.

We've had walkie-talkies for a few weeks but haven't been able to use them on a hike or near woods or mountains. However, we have tested it in our area with many disturbing houses and the range is convincing with crystal-clear sound.
