First, most fresh pineapples do NOT have perfectly straight cores. As a result, you get uneven results and lots of waste. It's hard to use and I can't understand how anyone can say it's easy to use. In my opinion, it's better to cut a fresh pineapple the old-fashioned way. When this product arrived I was unable to assemble the handle. The fit seemed too tight. I gifted it to my friend and he managed to assemble it by bending the metal tube a bit. It is very thin and appears to have been damaged during storage or shipping. This still poses a problem as the handle is still difficult to disassemble and reassemble, which you have to do every time you use it. The cube tool is made of even thinner plastic.
