The cup is ok. Thought I'd buy one that had an extra "lip" at the bottom to keep the mug from spilling. My mom is 93 and I bought her this mug. I'll just use it as a backup for another one I have that won't spill. I didn't look closely at the product to realize that I've never bought it.

I like having a cup with two handles and although I checked that my coffee would fit in the cup, the lid I wanted to use had to come off upside down and if someone were to do this to you, you would lose about another ounce of coffee. The leak-proof cup is screwed on top, but difficult to remove. I do not recommend it to the average coffee drinker. I ordered a large mug from another company.

This mug is suitable for cold liquids, but when you pour something hot into it, such as tea, coffee or milk, it takes on a distinct plastic taste. I hand washed it thoroughly before use and tried washing it in the dishwasher to get rid of the plastic taste but nothing helped. The item description says it's good for both hot and cold liquids, but I don't recommend buying it with the intention of using it for anything other than cold.
