As good as Smartwool at half the price!

I walk a lot and have very sensitive feet. I always wear Smartwool boot socks because they stay on my feet and are the only thing that keeps me from blisters. TIL TODAY. And these socks are half the price of fancy wool! They are cooler and more breathable. They are amazing! When I received them they were very thin so I wasn't very hopeful but decided to try them anyway. I was very positively surprised! The toes stay. They don't jam and don't fall down. I have no hot spots and/or blisters on my…

I completely underestimated the effect of these socks

I sometimes get a little swelling in my feet and wear compression stockings when I run or walk fast. I figured I'd try something different and ordered these Samsox sockets. let me say WOW. I don't know HOW they work, but they DO. I love the low cut and honestly my feet feel GREAT in these socks. They feel energized and work very well for the activities I do. The design makes my tennis shoes feel great (plus on the instep) and the low cut improves circulation. I highly recommend these socks!

Wool is best for exercise and fitness

These socks are a little thinner than the ones I wear when I run. Once I get used to the thinner feel I love these socks. However, I have a bunion, so the thinner sock doesn't cushion or protect that bunion enough for my longer runs. If you have normal legs, this is not a problem! I wear them on trail runs during Maine mud season and they feel like wool when wet. They keep your feet warm. I like the short ankle length to wear with other shoes when commuting across town. The price matches these…

too thin, very little cushioning, slippery, slides down

I bought these shoes because of their claims of cushioning, heel support and good reviews. Well, they don't work for me for serious business. "Mix"? Not enough to be called a write-off. Instead they are very thin, thin enough that I can see my skin through them. Also slippery - they slide easily in my shoes (also because they are so thin) but also slide down when walking - not down, not even over the heel, but under the heel of the boot. And they slip on my heel when I take off my shoes. They…

Comfortable, warm but not prickly!

These wool socks are comfortable and cushioning, but not as bulky as my wool hiking socks. And although they are mainly made of wool, they do not itch. (Merino wool is the BEST in this regard). I took them for a 2 mile run to see how they feel and they were really comfortable even though they were warm! It was about 60 degrees Fahrenheit outside. In the future I will wear them on winter/early spring runs or just around the house in Leu slippers. I also noticed that they are great for high…

Samsox customer service is fantastic.

Edit...Emma from SAMSOX emailed me and explained how the socks are made and explained the error that the name 'Merino' was missing on the packaging of the socks. She explained the size of the wool used, as well as what is and isn't classified as "merino wool." I am happy with the explanation. Based on my interaction with the purchase, Samsox made changes to the packaging to match the ad. The socks hold up really well and the price can't be beat. I can only recommend them, just got them and…

Great pair of socks!

I run a few miles a week so a good sock plays an important role in my training. I love that these socks were very comfortable, nice and thick but not too thick, protected my feet from odor and stayed dry, and best of all, they didn't fall/slip down on my heel. At first I would have just wished for a little more compression, but no more. I've worn them so many times and they're great. I also wore them on a non-training day. I wore them with my vans sk8 mid top sneakers standing up in 80 degrees…
