I am delighted, the product is really worthy.

I didn’t want to write a review because everything is clear here and so much has been written before me, oh well. Compared with the M2 Samsung 970 PRO, the speeds are almost the same, the PRO is colder with the complete heatsinks from Gigabyte Auros Z390 MASTER after a hard test no more than 55 degrees. Good quality product, the price is commensurate with the quality.

The solution to the problem of overheating SSD approached with all seriousness. The paper stickers have been removed from the bottom and top of the SSD.   • Just the wildest heat, requiring extraordinary cooling measures. With a simple aluminum heatsink, the heat would destroy system files, so I constantly used command-line system file recovery utilities. There were cases when, in one evening of work, damage was found and repaired twice at the PC. And the last time, on February 28, 2022, 6 (six!) found damaged files were indicated in the log file. The reason, as it is now obvious, was the short-term warming up of the SSD due to the huge speeds of information transfer between the two SSDs in the PC.

Not compatible with OS X

Not yet compatible with OSX 10.14.3. I kept getting kernel panics followed by a reboot. I was really looking forward to this disc!

Doesn't work with macOS

I'm rewriting my review because this disc didn't work with macOS when I first bought it. Luckily, they released a firmware update that fixed this problem. So now I can report that this drive works great. It's very fast and actually hits the limitations of the PCI Express bus that M.2 slots use. Great price from a well known brand. I'm glad I didn't send it back, just waited. If you have one of these and it's causing crashes and reboots on macOS, update the firmware on the drive.

Great drive stupid software

An absolute nightmare to install on a Dell Inspiron 14 laptop Samsung software only works if it recognizes the Samsung drive. I installed an Ssmsung drive in a USB enclosure to clone my existing drive. NOT CORRECT! Now it is identified as the enclosure name and the Samsung software cannot work as it does not recognize the drive as Samsung. Stupid Samsung way of doing things. This makes updating your drive very difficult and your cloning software useless. I had to look for a third-party cloning…

Faster than 970 Pro for less money

This is advertised and quite rare in PC hardware. Check the Diskmark scores and see for yourself. I used the free version of Macrium Reflect to clone my old 256GB SSD to this guy, enabled the UEFI BIOS to deal with it and there you go. A few things to note about this drive, or any other NVME drive. Enable support in BIOS. Without this, the disc will not be recognized. This is not a DOA, you need to enable NVME in UEFI (BIOS). Wow - not only a good test, but really GOOD!

I can only say wow! I returned the ADATA XPG SX8200 PRO 500GB for it and am very glad I did. Not all PCIE NVME drives are created equal and the benchmarks mean nothing as they are synthetic and the drives are built to perform the 'best' in benchmarks which can be a far cry from their actual performance.
