Melody. Just plug it in and turn it on. I had to go to "Display" in the control panel and do some settings, after that I was done. The picture is fantastic and I didn't even have to insert the disc as no adjustments were needed. I switched from a Samsung 20 inch square monitor to this one and the difference is amazing! I bought this unit from Revain and found that it doesn't have a speaker. contacted samsung chat and spent 45 minutes with an agent to find out they didn't bring a speaker. I wasn't planning on adding a bunch of speakers that would remind me of the early 80's. I don't know why Samsung decided to remove the speaker.
