A decent disc with a still low write speed.

Decent performance for a 32GB drive but I wish it was faster. ATTO benchmarks show a solid read speed of 227 MB/s, but write speeds ranged from 25 to 28 MB/s. On Windows 10, when copying large files, the write speed is usually 16-20MB/s. Heats up but doesn't heat up unlike the latest generation METAL BAR disc. The gray disc has a matte appearance instead of being slippery like the previous generation chrome version (which I always threw away because of its slipperiness). Other drives (like theโ€ฆ

Erratic writing speed

128GB Samsung BAR Plus Flash Drive. I tested the USB ports and cables for a new computer using ATTO Disk Benchmark Version 4.00.0f2. with the following settings: Direct I/O - enabled Bypass Write Cache - enabled (to see actual speed) Data Validation - enabled I/O Size - 512B to 64MB File Size - 256MB 50MB/s (with block size over 128 KB) Typical read speed is 280 MB/s to 320 MB/s (with block size over 128 KB) After 80-100 passes, the write speed drops randomly to 8 MB/s to 12 MB/s. Really fast read speeds and nice looks, but not great write speeds

The Samsung Bar Plus 32GB drive is beautiful, no question about it. It looks better than any USB drive I've had. It's well made and compact (although it's not too small so it's hard to connect/disconnect or easy to lose) so it doesn't clutter the USB ports around it. . This is great value. I then compared it to my 64GB Lexar ("L") S74 drive (yes, higher capacity drives usually have higher speeds) to see if it was properly utilizing the USB 3.1 bandwidth. "L" disk is the complete opposite of the

DO NOT BUY THIS!

OVERVIEW: Like many others, this USB flash drive failed after two months of use. Now its capacity is 28.8 GB. DETAILS: I bought this CD because it was recommended by Revain and had good reviews. After receiving it, I formatted the drive. I formatted it to 64GB. It feels solid and fits snugly in the USB port. Using the USB stick seems fast and responsive. That is, until one day the files on the hard drive were corrupted. There was no way to restore them. (Luckily I used the USB drive as a second

Good inexpensive drive for Linux Live USB and PortableApps

Was looking for a flash drive with decent 4k random read/write speeds. For my purposes (Linux Live USB with persistence and PortableApps) these criteria are very important. The SanDisk Extreme PRO USB 3.1 was highly recommended and the benchmarks are very high. Unfortunately, it also comes at a price that matches its excellent performance. Considering the price, I'm leaning towards a small case plus an M.2 SATA SSD. I bought the Samsung BAR Plus after seeing CrystalDiskMark review images whichโ€ฆ

I had problems with various 128GB USB drives when they first appeared. Some models may heat up your house, freeze your computer, skip audio files, etc. But Little White 128 Gig USB USB (Fit?) 128GB Samsung Silvery (Bar?) models are no worries. I was about to order two Silvery 128s but noticed the Samsung 256GB was released six weeks ago. Nervously trying the new type 256 but based on the previous Samsung 128, ordered MUF-256BE4/AM. Currently the cost looks like around $11 more than the price of
