I really like this tablet. I bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 inch in 2015. He eventually died. Replacing the battery costs $80. I have a 10.5 inch Galaxy Tab S and a 9.7 inch Tab S3. The Tab S3 with keyboard is good for work, but I still love my big Tab S for watching movies. However, as he ages, he becomes a bit lethargic. My 2014 Samsung tablet finally gave up and was looking for a replacement. Samsung devices were generally good so I looked at another one. It has a slightly larger screen and better picture. While it doesn't have an S Pen, it's an improvement in every other way. Picture, sound and a newer version of Android make this a solid value tablet. As with my last one, with a solid build, I expect it to last a while.

This tablet replaces the 2015 Sony Xperia Z4 tablet. Dimensions are very similar except the Samsung is thicker and MUCH heavier. It seems unexpectedly heavier. That works great.
