SAMSUNG HW-T450 2.1ch Soundbar Review 2020: Dolby Audio Excellence Unleashed! Review

I bought the 450 for an old Samsung TV in a small space and am very happy with the sound. I almost gave up because one review said the subwoofer was underperforming. My subwoofer is on the floor behind my couch, making the couch shake.

sounds good Syncs quickly with my Samsung TV. The only negative is that the bass is not what I expected at all. Far from "powerful" as they claim. Just a decent midrange sound system. Do not buy if you want mid to high bass performance. VERY mediocre in this department. Although it looks great.

Sounds pretty good, but it's NOT surround sound, although Samsung says it works with wireless rear speakers. It does NOT support 5.1 Dolby decoding, while others think they have surround sound, they don't. Play a Netflix "test" video that plays separate channels for each speaker and see for yourself. Buying a q60t fixed the problem immediately with the same exact tuning and source. Again, 5.1 channel audio is NOT DECODED.

Great product at this price! I did a lot of research before buying and I am not disappointed! Very easy setup (5 minutes) and the product is easy to use without too many options but you get what you need. We love that it comes with a remote control rather than a phone app to control it. There are many reviews of this system with jargon about sound reproduction and quality. To me, the negative reviews come from audiophiles with a lot of knowledge and little money. Comparing this system to a high-end system is foolish. It isn't what it is. What it is is an inexpensive and easy to set up upgrade to standard TV speakers.
