💾 Samsung EVO+ 256GB UHS-I microSDXC U3 Memory Card: High Capacity Storage + Adapter (MB-MC256DA/AM) Review

This card has been in my Samsung S7 Edge for a few weeks. It seems to keep up with the speed of the phone and hasn't had any issues so far. A bit pricey but I was willing to pay the price based on Samsung's reputation, reviews from other buyers and my own experience with a cheaper card that's now in the junk!

Oh boy I was hoping I'd get lucky and not fall victim to that AM/EU sausage you read from other reviewers to have. Unfortunately it is true. Registration in the USA is not possible as the product is "uniquely" EU marked after removing 2 stickers above the original serial number. I'm sure the product works but it needed to be said. If warranty is important, don't buy.

Samsung Note 8 (Standard 64GB). I bought this 256GB Micro SD card for my new Samsung Note 8 (64GB). My Note 8 now has a total storage of 320GB. This Samsung micro SD card has an impressive transfer speed when I tested the transfer speed for different movie files and sizes. Test A) A 3.22GB MKV movie file lasted 1 minute 25 seconds. Test B) A 1.37GB AVI movie file lasted only 58 seconds. I'm not a memory card guru, but I'm impressed :)

Pretty fast for such a large card! If you want faster read speeds but a higher price point, check out the Lexar Pro 1000x UHS-II/U3 (think about it, you spend most of your time copying files from the card to your computer.
