💿 Samsung 970 PRO NVMe 1TB M.2 PCI-E 3.0 x 4 SSD (V-NAND) - High-Performance Storage Solution Review

Attempting to register product with Samsung. The Samsung technician said the product is not for sale in the US, SN is for sale outside the US and cannot be registered. Revine couldn't/wasn't able to help.

I have 2 of these on my new build (i9-7980xe, x299 ftw-k G.skill 3600MHz Trident-z 64GB) one has my win 10 trial for stable or similar / s -desktop is about 20 seconds. My second is used for gaming. Temperatures remain very low under notices. Very happy with another great Samsung product. (owned about 8 now)

Easy installation. "Very fast! I have a ROG MAXIMUS XI HERO (WI-FI) COD motherboard with two onboard M.2 NVMe PCI-E connectors. Unfortunately, M.2 NVMe PCI-E does not work with Intel Optane memory, so it only works with M.2 SATA (not that you need it).

If you want to mod a Mac Pro cheese grater and use NVMe with it, or if you just want a fast SSD, this is your machine. It's more expensive than the 970 Evo Plus, but it just works (macOS Mojave doesn't support Plus yet). Compared to the rotating SATA II drive that originally came with the Mac Pro, this offers a nearly 10x improvement in read and write performance. Enthusiastically recommended.

At delivery, the hard drive has all the markings 1 TB 970 PRO. Once installed, both the motherboard BIOS and Windows 10 will recognize the drive as a 250GB 970 EVO. I'm still working with Samsung to determine the exact problem with the drive, but everything points to the possibility that I received a mislabeled or tampered with drive. So basically I overpaid $194.47 for a 250GB drive.

Provided directly from Revain. I have used this media in a Thinkpad X1 Extreme (2018) and HP Omen Obelisk with 2080Ti as boot drive and they work great. I'm afraid of high temperatures with the Thinkpad. So I connected it to an external PC case via an electrically insulated silicon thermal sheet. The Omen Obelisk also has the SSD connected to the specified heat sink. I was able to lower the temperature of the SSD by about 10 degrees.

I received this to upgrade my Razer Blade 15 2019 Advanced Edition. Although it has all the high specs, it only comes with a 512GB NVME SSD. It was very fast on its own, but I needed a bigger SSD so I could install more programs and games.
