We bought 2 pairs of these Samsung 3D glasses to use with a 2011 Samsung Plasma 3D TV. These 3D glasses are perfect for 2011 Samsung TVs and exactly what we needed/ordered. As far as I understand the science, active glasses provide better video quality than passive glasses. I'm not sure if they're worth the extra cost, but if you decide Samsung makes the best 3D TV and that's what you want, you can't do without them. Now you have to choose between wireless charging or USB charging when not in use. For me it's the difference between four and five stars.
