Reliable CompactFlash card

My wife is a photographer and uses a lot of CF cards in filming etc. She has used this card along with others and this card is just as reliable and fast as the previous "Extreme Maps I think she uses them in her Canon 7D with no problem.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Modern

San Disk 4GB matches CompactFlash Cards

I've been using them for years and never had a problem. I'm shooting in San Diego, Sedona and the Grand Canyon and I needed a little bit more so I got a 5. As always, it worked great. I don't like putting too many pictures on a card and with 4GB I have 130 pictures per card.

Pros
  • Best in Niche
Cons
  • Security

very well done in CompactFlash Cards

I used a 4 GB CompactFlash card as a storage hard drive in my old Amiga computer. I liked that the CompactFlash memory card was much faster than the old IDE hard drive that the Amiga computer came with. The capacity of the 4GB memory card was larger than that of the hard disk at the time.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • For the old

Hard to find in local stores.

Not available in most stores. I have an original Canon Rebel digital camera that supports these compact flash cards. Newer cameras use a much smaller card and that's about all you can find. Since the camera does not work with a card larger than 4GB, it is difficult to find it. I was very happy with them and they arrived pretty quickly.

Pros
  • Heavy Duty
Cons
  • Slightly Crumpled

Works like I wanted!

This is the second time I buy this card. I do my entire photo shoot with a Canon 50d and am very happy. I had no problem shooting fast enough, but I don't use rapid fire often. The only drawback is that there is no plastic cover. I bought them separately in bulk for a few dollars but I like to keep them in their cases. Came in the original factory packaging.

Pros
  • electronics
Cons
  • not reliable

Secure storage for memory cards

4GB CompactFlash cards are not easy to find since most cameras have switched to the SD format. I find these 4GB cards from SanDisk to be completely reliable, allowing you to take snapshots for specific events without storing too much on either drive. When I come back from photo trips I'll probably have 3 or 4 of these cards full of photos. It's easier to break them down to make prints, photo books, etc. than to cram all those images onto an 8GB card or two.

Pros
  • CompactFlash cards
Cons
  • Insecure

Perfect for most so me

if you only use them to store files or in camera that's 4. You would be 5 for this app except that the cards now much faster are available. 30 MB/s is enough for my purposes. I've been using Compact Flash and particularly SanDisk as bootable media for embedded systems for over a decade. All but a few SanDisk cards got 5 stars because they are the best flash memory. A few years ago their 256MB cards wouldn't load and were null. They work, but 4GB cards at 30MB/s and only 4GB cards report aโ€ฆ

Pros
  • memory cards
Cons
  • I don't remember but something was
