digital display disappeared exactly 8 hours after boxing radio reception is above average.

The display died in less than six months. Now I can't see the time or channel. Glad I programmed my favorite stations, but now the thing is almost useless for me. I got it for the clock function as well as the radio. The sound of the radio is very good, but otherwise it's not good. I wouldn't buy anything else.

I have been using this radio tape recorder for a little over 6 months. Liked the features - digital setting, two alarms, many ways to set alarms. What makes me less happy is that I have trouble understanding language. This might be normal for some people with music, but I found the bass boomy and fuzzy. This is a request to Revain rather than a review. I have already returned two clock radios under $30 because one had no buttons and the other buzzed when I plugged it in and then alarm 2 wouldn't turn on. Although this product has had some negative reviews, I'm sure Revain will be in a different number of them. Great display, digital tuning, clean looks and quality. However, it unfortunately disappointed in performance. The sound is flat, despite having two 2 1/2" speakers, without much bass. The main reason I chose this Sangean model was the backup battery as temporary power outages are not uncommon in Florida. Surprisingly, the stereo speakers aren't that great compared to the 25 year old clock radios I've used. The digital setting is good, as is the audio alarm clock's gradually increasing volume (if the same feature were available for the alarm radio option).
